Augustine Emuwa, Principal, Gale School
Emuwa, a dedicated and determined instructional leader, is known for his passion and commitment to underserved youth populations. Emuwa is honored to have been on the Sullivan High School team that hosted GGC’s first groundbreaking SMART™ Student Health and Wellness Center model flagship clinic for Chicago Public Schools (CPS). He is proud to say he is part of the innovative, proactive “whole child” wellness-focused model that now serves as a national model of comprehensive integrative and behavioral health focused on improved academic outcomes for students who need it the most.
Emuwa earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Special Education and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He is a National New Leaders Institute Certified Principal, which was founded at Harvard University.
