Inaugural 2017 SMART Stakeholder Symposium and Congressional Briefing

May 17 and 18, 2017

Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center – Rotunda
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20004

The event highlights the connections between health, education and workforce, plus the powerful alliance of public-private partnerships that fueled this innovation. The Inaugural 2017 SMART™ Stakeholder Symposium and Congressional Briefing is bifurcated into two distinct parts. The first, an intimate gathering of stakeholders from the Chicago Flagship and Regional Replications Sites, convenes over the course of two days to allow for the sharing of best practices, challenges, and opportunities connected to the emerging best practice model. The second, a Congressional Briefing, takes place as a breakfast on the second day of the symposium. At breakfast, the regional SMART™ Symposium attendees are joined by national leaders, key influencers, and members of Congress and Senate and their staff to receive the first official White Paper briefing on the model, which is led by Dr. Liza Cariaga-Lo.
